Official Ireland v Italy Hospitality Packages – Guinness Six Nations 2026
Ireland, who are currently six time champions of the highly prestigious Guinness Six Nations, are set to take on Gonzalo Quesada’s Italy at the historic and iconic Aviva Stadium in the heart of the city of Dublin on the afternoon Saturday 14th February 2026, with the action on this day set to get underway at 14:10.
The home side will be boosted by the incredible atmosphere that is set to be produced throughout this game, predominantly from their supporters who will be coming to watch and enjoy this game in their thousands. Ireland will be looking to ensure that they remain on track for what would be a seventh Six Nations crown, which would see them then have the joint most in the entire history of this competition, level with France.
In the most recent Six Nations in 2025, with Andy Farrell having been chosen to take charge of the British & Irish Lions, it was Simon Easterby who took temporary charge during this tournament. When Ireland and Italy meet in February 2026, the home side will be led by another temporary Head Coach, who will be Paul O’Connell on this occasion in particular.
The current permanent Head Coach of Ireland, Andy Farrell, has been in charge of the team ever since he was officially appointed to replace Joe Schmidt of New Zealand in 2019, and so his stint in charge of the team has now lasted no less than six years. Farrell has led Ireland to win, to date as of the time of writing, two Six Nations Championships (2023 & 2024), with the former having been a Grand Slam. He has also led them to two Triple Crowns, having done so back in 2022 and 2023.
The most recent Six Nations Championship in 2025 saw Ireland finish in 3rd place on 19 points from their matches, and it was only England and eventual Champions France who finished above them on 20 and 21 points respectively.
Throughout the 2025 tournament, Ireland were able to get a total of four victories, having been able to beat the likes of England (27 – 22), Scotland (18 – 32), Wales (18 – 27), and finally Italy, beating them 17 – 22. Their only defeat was against the Champions France, who were able to beat Ireland 27 – 42 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
This was the most recent competitive contest between Ireland and Italy as of the time of writing, ahead of this contest in the 2026 Six Nations Championship.
The first time that Ireland and Italy met in competitive international rugby was all the way back on 31st December 1988 at Lansdowne Road during what was Italy’s 1988/99 tour of Ireland. This game took place at Landsdowne Road, and it saw Ireland win comfortably as 31 – 15 winners against Italy on this occasion.
Overall, these two nations have met 38 times competitively over the years, with Ireland having a total of 34 wins compared to Italy’s 4 to date, as of the time of writing.
