Chelsea FC v Manchester City Battle in The Premier League
Chelsea and Man City will face each other in the Premier League once more at Stamford Bridge on 5th January 2023. Both clubs will be battling for European football and a victory for either club in this match will prove advantageous in this close fought battle. The match will kick off at 8PM.

Their second Champions League title came in 2021 when The Blues emerged as 1-0 victors under former Head Coach Thomas Tuchel against the Citizens, through a goal from Kai Havertz.

Graham Potter: The New Head Coach
Thomas Tuchel was the previous Head Coach at Chelsea, enjoying great success with the crowning achievement of his spell at the club being the 1-0 Champions League final win against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
But, after an unsatisfactory start to the 2022/23 Premier League season the Chelsea board decided to act with the German being relieved of his duties on 7th September 2022.
A statement the next day (8th September) announced the appointment of Brighton boss Graham Potter. He has made a name for himself in the Premier League by getting the best out of his players whilst also spending very little in the transfer market.
For example, in his final transfer window in the summer, Brighton signed four players for a combined total of £45.7m.
The season before that, Potter signed 7 players for just £64.7m, which included Marc Cucurella who has been reunited with the Englishman at Stamford Bridge.
This is very much seen as a long term project and this could be a very exciting time for Chelsea fans.
Guardiola’s Manchester City
Pep Guardiola signed a new contract at Manchester City on Wednesday 23rd November, keeping him at the club until 2025.
The Citizens are in 2nd place on 32 points after 14 matches, with only Arsenal above them.
Summer signing Erling Haaland has been in almost unstoppable form so far this season, with his record of 18 goals in 14 league matches being unmatched.
In all competitions, including for his country Norway, Haaland has scored an outstanding 29 goals with 4 assists to boot in his 24 appearances this season.
They have met 50 times in the Premier League. Historically Chelsea have the superior record – winning 27 of these matches, whilst City have won 16.
Chelsea fans will not want to miss out on what is sure to be an exciting and entertaining battle between two world class teams.
