The Premier League fixtures for the 2026/27 campaign have been released, and supporters can finally start securing their places at some of the season’s biggest games.
Whether it’s the anticipation and excitement of the opening weekend or a nail-biting derby day, these are the dates that you need to put in your calendar.
Who plays who on the opening weekend?
The opening weekend gives optimism to every supporter across the country. New signings often lift the hopes of millions of supporters and this season is set to be no different.
Despite not even reaching July yet we have seen some huge transfers within the Premier League. Jean Paul Van Hecke has swapped Brighton for Tottenham Hotspur whilst Chelsea have secured the signature of Portuguese teenage sensation Geovany Quenda.
The opening fixtures sees Premier League champions Arsenal host EFL Championship winners Coventry City which will see Frank Lampard lead his side into the top-flight of English football for the first time since 2002.
Manchester United begin away at Hull City, Tottenham travel to Brentford, while Sunday brings some huge fixtures including Brighton against Aston Villa, Manchester City against Bournemouth and Newcastle hosting Liverpool.

When are the Premier League Derby Days?
There is nothing quite like a derby day in football. The build-up starts days before, the nerves creep in, and suddenly everyone seems to have an opinion. Liverpool: Anfield’s biggest dates for 2026/27
Liverpool fans will not have to wait long to get back to Anfield, with Nottingham Forest the visitors for the first home game of the season on 29 August.
The opening weeks also bring home fixtures against Fulham and Manchester City, giving supporters some big games to look forward to early in the campaign.
The final home game of the season sees Bournemouth visit Anfield on 30 May, with fans hoping for a strong finish to the campaign.
Tottenham: a huge year ahead in north London
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will welcome Newcastle for Spurs’ first home fixture of the season on 29 August.
Everton then visit in September before Aston Villa arrive a week later, giving supporters three early opportunities to watch the team at home.
One of the biggest dates of the season comes on 5 December when Arsenal make the short trip for the North London Derby.
Spurs finish their home fixtures against Manchester United on 23 May, setting up what could be a big end-of-season occasion.
Aston Villa: Unai Emery’s Villa set for a huge season
Villa supporters will have plenty to look forward to, starting with Arsenal’s visit on 29 August.
Nottingham Forest and Brentford are the next two home fixtures to watch, while the final home game of the season brings Tottenham to Villa Park on 30 May.
