Chelsea FC operates a smart-casual dress code throughout the hospitality areas at Stamford Bridge.

Smart trainers, smart jeans and tailored shorts are permitted, but they do not allow tracksuits, casual shorts, football shirts or away colours.

Chelsea Transfers 2025/26:

Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea have confirmed their first signing of the 2025 Summer Transfer Window, which has seen them sign Dario Essugo, who is a 20 year old defensive midfielder who joins from Portuguese heavyweights Sporting CP for a rumoured transfer fee of approximately £18 million. Chelsea have also agreed a deal with them for their 18 year old forward Geovany Quenda, who will be joining the West London club in 2026.

The Blues have also signed striker Liam Delap from Ipswich Town for a reported transfer fee of £30 million, signing a six year contract at Stamford Bridge that will expire in 2031.

Chelsea have completed a deal to sign 19 year old French centre back Mamadou Sarr from Strasbourg for a rumoured transfer fee of £12 million. Sarr signed an 8 year deal that is going to expire in 2033. Brazilian right winger Estevao has joined the West London Club from Palmeiras for a rumoured fee of £29 million.

They have also signed Brazilian international forward Joao Pedro from fellow Premier League club Brighton for a rumoured transfer fee of £55 million with there also being addons reportedly worth £5 million. He has signed a seven year contract that is set to expire in 2033.

English forward Jamie Gittens has also joined the club from German Giants Borussia Dortmund for what was a rumoured transfer fee of £48.5 million.

Chelsea have also completed the signing of Ajax’s 19 year old defender Jorrel Hato for a rumoured transfer fee of £37 million, with the Dutchman also signing a seven year contract with the Blues, which keeps him at Stamford Bridge until 2032.

Chelsea History

On the evening of 10 March 1905, in an upstairs room at the Rising Sun pub, Chelsea FC was formed. In collaboration with Frederick Parker, who also engineered Chelsea’s admission to Football League Division Two, Robertson constructed a squad including larger-than-life Willie Foulke: the club hired football’s first ball-boys to emphasise the 23-stone goalkeeper’s presence. Success came spectacularly fast: the table-top clash with Manchester United on Good Friday 1906 attracted a staggering attendance of 67,000.
