2026 QIPCO British Champions Day
QIPCO British Champions Day returns in October 2026. The feature race of the day is the QIPCO Champion Stakes – the richest race taking place at this event.
- The 2026 British Champions Day will take place on Saturday 17th October 2026.
- QIPCO British Champions Day was first held at Ascot Racecourse back in 2011.
- This race meeting effectively marks the finale of the British flat racing season.

King George Day 2026

Exit the M4 at Junction 6, merge onto the A332 Windsor by-pass, and follow the signs to Ascot.
From the West, South, and East:
Take the M4 to Junction 10, join the A329 (M) to Bracknell, and follow the Ascot signs. Take the M3 Junction 3 to the A332 to Bracknell if coming from the south or east.
From the Midlands:
We recommend taking the M40 southbound (Junction 3) and continuing on the M4 (Junction 8/9) towards Heathrow/London. Then, take the A332 Windsor by-pass to Ascot and exit the M4 at Junction 6.

From Reading, Guildford, and London Waterloo, South Western Railway maintains a regular service to Ascot. Reading will take roughly 27 minutes, and Waterloo will take approximately 52 minutes. Ascot Racecourse is a seven-minute walk away.

Ladies should wear a dress or skirt falling just above the knee (or longer), shoulder straps with a minimum width of 1 inch (2.5cm), a jacket or pashmina, a trouser suit, a jumpsuit that falls below the knee and a hat, which is mandatory.
Gentlemen should wear morning dress (black, grey or navy) a waistcoat and necktie, a top hat (black or grey), black dress shoes (with socks)
Children in the Royal Enclosure should wear clothing in accordance with the above dress code if they are aged between 10 and 17.

Children should comply with the above dress code, but hats, headpieces and fascinators are not compulsory.

Ladies and children should wear clothing as mentioned for the Queen Anne Enclosure. This is the same for men, although men can also wear a full-length trouser or chino in this particular enclosure.

At 2026’s Royal Ascot, the Enclosures open and close at different times. The cloakrooms in the Royal and Queen Anne Enclosures open at 10:30am, and they close at 19:00 each day. On Saturday, they close at 21:00.
Cloakrooms in the Windsor Enclosure also open at 10:30am, but they close at 19:30 each day.
The Windsor Enclosure’s cloakrooms open from Thursday to Saturday at 10:30am before closing at 21:00.

At this year’s Royal Ascot, racing each day will be getting underway at 14:30. The last race on each day takes place at 18:15 in the evening.
